Since my last post we’ve had some sad and tragic happenings in our small town and it would be remiss of me to not acknowledge my deepest sympathies to the family and friends left behind, and i do so with a spirit of hope and love.
There is not a right or a wrong way to grieve and everyone does it differently. As a believer, I turn to God’s Word to find strength and comfort in these times especially.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
So now I call upon all of us all to be thankful for what we have and what we’ve been blessed with.
Hug your children a little tighter tonight, greet your wife or husband as they walk through the door with a kind word and kiss, give some encouragement to a friend and make someone a cup of tea or invite them out for a coffee.
Go out into your world and reach out your hand a little farther than you would normally and do a kindness for someone who’s not expecting it.
Go out and love people.
